Description: My first Sandia panorama created using film! The camera is a Widelux F8 panoramic 35mm camera. This camera's predecessor was on the first Gemini space flight to the moon, and was used to capture the panoramic images captured on the moon. The Widelux F8 captures a 140 degree wide image. Care must be given to crop out the bottom or top of an image because of its large image area. This image was captured on Fuji 200 speed color print film, captured at speed 250, aperture setting of f8. The image was scanned and prepped in Photoshop CS2.
Taken near Paseo del Norte and Barstow, a rapid growing area of Albuquerque, I hope to recapture this scene in a few years to show the huge growth of the area.
"Sandia – Barstow" is a donated, matted, framed, and signed piece for the University of New Mexico’s Lobo Club auction & social benefiting UNM student-athlete scholarships. |
