Description: Second place winner in the November 2004 Enchanted Lens Camera Club of New Mexico’s black & white “open” category. All my black & white images begin as color captures. After insuring the color, saturation, and contrast are as I would desire, I then convert the image to black & white using various methods, appropriate to the image. This is of course, a popular image captured thousands of times, of Monument Valley Navajo National Monument. This image of Mittens is very much different of the usual view of the Monument.
